Measuring Health Equity: Digging into the Data

This symposium addressed the use of patient-level socio-demographic data in health equity planning and in the equitable delivery of services and care in different healthcare settings.  Leading researchers and practitioners shared experiences and best practices on the use of demographic data to improve the quality of care and achieve health equity.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Cory Neudorf

Dr. Neudorf is the Chief Medical Health Officer for the Saskatoon Health Region and an Assistant Professor of community health in the faculty of medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. He holds a medical degree, a master’s of health science degree, and is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Some of his research interests include health inequalities and health status indicators and surveys.
